Swim across LOCH NESS - My Scottish Highland Triathlon - Part 1

Yep I've hung up Loki the Longboard (for now). This time for Challenge #2 I'm headed to the moody Highlands of Scotland to attempt to swim across the Loch Ness (the biggest body of fresh water in the UK) and then climb the highest peak in the UK (Ben Nevis) all in the one day. Of course I will be donning a kilt and with my bagpipes in my hike bag... It's going to be one hell of a challenge!

In this first episode, I am tackling the swim across the widest part of the Loch roughly 2km and heading to shore at the ruins of Urquhart Castle. With this swim we are talking about 240m deep, dark water that hovers around the 6 degrees Celsius mark and is rumoured to host the World's most infamous monster - The Loch Ness Monster (see if you can spot her) and if that wasn't enough, in episode 2 I will then climb 1345m to the summit of Ben Nevis, play a tune on the bagpipes and get back down before the light fades or worse the weather turns.
